Master's degree program in Environmental Engineering opens registration for first class

Applications are now open for the Master’s degree program in Environmental Engineering. The program is a joint venture between the Federal Technological University (UTFPR) campi at Londrina and Apucarana.
The broad objective of the program is to provide students with the academic and technical background to pursue activities of research, teaching and development of practices applied to environmental problems. To a large extent, the curriculum of this program is interdisciplinary and draws upon courses in physics, chemistry and biology. There are currently 12 positions available in two research areas: Environmental Sanitation and Air Pollution and Atmospheric Processes. The program was approved by the Brazilian Federal Agency of Support and Evaluation of Postgraduate Education (CAPES) at the end of last year and ranked level 3 (ranking ranges from 1 to 7).
Application for prospective students can be made in person between June 4th and July 13th, 2012, Monday through Friday (8 am – noon, and 2 – 5 pm) at the Registry of the Graduate Program in Environmental Engineering at UTFPR Campus in Londrina (Av dos Pioneiros, 3131). Applications are also accepted via registered mail with post mark no later than July 12th. Classes begin on September 10th, 2012.
